Bridging the Gap

This program for new attorneys who were admitted on or after Nov. 1, 2021, is presented jointly by the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.
Attendees will get a chance to speak with local judges and lawyers to learn local court rules and the basics of trying cases in San Bernardino County, including advice for lawyers starting a private practice.
Presiding Judge R. Glenn Yabuno will give a state of the courts address and more in an introductory speech. He will also be available to swear in eligible new attorneys. Fourth District Court of Appeal Presiding Justice Manuel Ramirez will present, and attorney William D. Shapiro will present a program on ethics and civility.
Panel discussion topics will include criminal defense, plaintiff’s personal injury law, civil law, probate and guardianships.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
