Community and Legal Issues Clinic

July 23 @ 10:00 am

Speakers will explore public health issues, and will provide information intended to empower attendees to help their communities thrive.

Discussion will include accessing low-cost legal and health care services, guidance for residents struggling to meet basic needs, natural stewardship, and opportunities for community connection and action.

The panel will comprise public health analyst Dora Barilla, civil-rights attorney Joseph L. Richardson of McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP, and legal-document assistant Reyna Ventura of ProSe Legal.

Attendees will be invited to ask questions of the panelists.

According to a press release from MWA, CALIC has made a point of scheduling events in Southern California towns whose residents may not have equity in access to educational opportunities, resources, health care facilities and environmental activism.

The CALIC series is presented by MWA, a law firm headquartered in Ontario that specializes in racial and economic justice, class-action cases and environmental law, as part of the firm’s mission to provide accessible and relevant educational value to the communities it serves. This firm is also the sponsor of Follow Our Courts.
