

The Imposter Phenomenon and the Judicial Application Process

This discussion will focus on influences that may be preventing people from applying for judgeships. California Supreme Court Associate Justice Martin J. Jenkins, California Court of Appeal First District Presiding Justice Teri L. Jackson, the governor’s judicial appointments secretary Luis Cespedes, and the Berkeley Judicial Institute’s executive director Retired Judge Jeremy Fogel will share their stories and strategies for overcoming self-doubt and building confidence in your qualifications and achievements.
For those who aspire to serve in California’s judiciary, judicial mentors are available for guidance through the application process.
Los Angeles Superior Presiding Judge Samantha P. Jessner will moderate, and co-host is Assistant Presiding Judge Sergio C. Tapia II.
