POWER Act Panel/Tribal Leaders and Tribal Judges Reception

Panel will discuss the missing and murdered indigenous people crisis and pro bono legal opportunities to empower Native American survivors of domestic violence.

Director of the Center for Indigenous Peoples Studies at CSUSB James Fenelon, director of the Office of Native American Affairs in the Office of Attorney General Rob Bonta in the California Department of Justice Merri Lopez-Keifer, Renda Dionne and Isabella Madrigal of the Luke Madrigal Indigenous Storytelling Nonprofit and senior staff attorney/lead domestic violence attorney with California Indian Legal Services Susan Dalati will compose the panel.

U.S. District Judge Sunshine Sykes will moderate.

A reception honoring tribal leaders and judges within the Central District will follow.

Registration deadline is Aug. 30.

MCLE credit is one hour general.
