The next installment of the Community and Legal Justice Clinic series, this time in virtual format only, is planned for Feb. 5.
A panel of speakers hosted by Pastor Frank K. Oliver will discuss the following issues impacting the public in 2022:
- Attorney Joseph Richardson of McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP, will discuss COVID policies.
- Associate attorney Kamola Gray of Chung & Ignacio, LLP, will discuss family law.
- Attorney Joshlyn Pulliam from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office will discuss criminal law.
- Jonathan Buffong from the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health will discuss prioritizing mental health for yourself and your loved ones.
Registration can be done any time and there is no charge to attend.
The event is presented by Uplift Church and McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP — where Richardson is a partner.
Richardson, a civil- and employment-rights attorney, leads MWA’s Racial & Economic Justice Practice Group, which is built to use litigation, advocacy and community contact to help communities of color in the Riverside and San Bernardino areas. According to a release from the firm, the CALIC series is designed to bring valuable education to communities throughout the Inland Empire to empower the public to seek out the resources they need.
“We understand things are continuously changing as the pandemic carries on,” said Richardson. “This event will shed some light on those issues that are important as we head into a new year, such as mental health and changes in COVID policy. The event’s main goal is to keep the public informed of issues that may affect them by presenting this information in plain language.”
The discussion will livestream from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Zoom, YouTube and Facebook.
