San Bernardino Superior Court seeks volunteer attorneys for Civil Settlement Conference Week, which will be Oct. 24 through 27.
The event is an effort to move cases forward in addressing the court’s significant backlog, according to a press release from the court.
During the week, attorneys will assist litigants in resolving their civil cases in lieu of going to trial. The process allows all parties to reach a mutually beneficial resolution, the press release says.
Volunteers must be active members of the California State Bar, have years in practice and, optimally, have knowledge of civil law.
