Tony Stewart of Highland and Jerome Belser of San Bernardino will serve five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to robbing 52 phone stores with hammers between Nov. 11, 2021, and Jan. 13, 2022.

Stewart pleaded guilty to interference of commerce by robbery June 9. His plea deal found him guilty of one count of the seven counts of robbery.

The pair, along with Rayford Newsome of Compton, robbed T-Mobile and AT&T stores during business hours, with customers present.

They entered wearing ski masks and broke display cases with hammers.

They hit stores in at least 47 cities, including Colton and in Los Angeles, Orange,
