I know the impact when communities and schools express acceptance and inclusivity through acts, such as flag display or stocking relevant material on library shelves. These materials represent a lighthouse; a small sign of potential safety and value. For kids who are not queer or trans, it demonstrates that all of us deserve representation in the classroom.
