An association of landlords is suing the state of California over AB382 — the third extension of the eviction moratorium imposed in response to COVID-19 stay-at-home orders.

The California Rental Housing Association (CalRHA) filed the lawsuit in the Eastern District of California federal district court, under the federal civil rights act.

The group seeks a declaration that AB832 is unconstitutional and an injunction prohibiting its enforcement, according to a statement released Aug. 5 (read the full statement here.
