Inland Counties Legal Services has helped a 70-year-old woman living with a disability and fighting cancer stay in her home.

The nonprofit organization, which works to raise the equity in access to justice in the Inland Empire by providing legal services to people who could not otherwise afford representation, recently shared the story of this woman, whose identity is being withheld for her privacy.

She lived in the same apartment building for 32 years with no problems, ICLS reports. But when the building was sold, the new owner gave her 60 days to vacate, saying renovations were imminent.
