During the bench trial, he was found to have been sane.

“The fact that there is now a finding that the defendant is sane, means that he will be held criminally liable for his actions,” Riverside District Attorney Michael Hestrin said, according to a statement provided by his office.

“This will not bring back the lives of Anthony and Rylee, but it will bring a measure of justice to their families, who have suffered irreparably at the hands of a man who took their lives in such a frightening, unprovoked, and random act of violence.”

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 26.

Brittany Bulthius and Kevin Beecham prosecuted.

Charles Kenyon of Greenberg Greenberg & Kenyon defended.

Case No. RIF2103205
