An armored car company agreed May 6 to drop its case against the San Bernardino County Sheriff, which alleged improper seizure of its transported money.

Empyreal Logistics, which has state-licensed marijuana companies as its clients, claimed the sheriff’s office had seized $1.1 million from its armored cars, and was targeting its vehicles with the help of federal agencies.

The federal agencies had already paid back the seized funds in a settlement agreement. The San Bernardino Sheriff remained the sole defendant until May 6.

Central District Judge John Holcomb presides.
