The Court of Appeal reversed a San Bernardino Superior judge’s dismissal of an Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuit in an Aug. 4 unpublished ruling. 

The ruling affirmed earlier precedent that an online company making at least 8% of its sales to Californians may be sued under California law.

Luis Licea of San Bernardino sued the Illinois pregnancy shop Bump Boxes in San Bernardino Superior Court Dec. 11, 2019.

Licea, who is blind, claimed Bump Boxes’ website is not accessible for the visually impaired.
