Riverside Superior Court’s cases will be fully managed by Journal Technologies’ eCourt case management system by Jan. 21, the court announced Dec. 24.

Only criminal and traffic cases are still managed by the Riverside Public Access (RPA) case system.

The court transitioned probate cases to eCourt in 2017, family law in 2018, civil cases in 2020 and juvenile cases in 2022, according to the court’s release.

Riverside Public Access was developed by ISD Corp. The company, established in 1981, was acquired by the online payment company ACI Worldwide in 2011. Their website, posted in the Riverside Public Access footer, went dark in 2018.

Journal Technologies is a subsidiary of the legal news source the Daily Journal. Their eCourt system is used by Alameda, Marin, Tulare, Humboldt, Madera, Plumas, Sierra, Lake, Modoc, Trinity, Tuolumne and San Benito, Amador, Mono, Nevada, and Solano superior courts.

Documents will be transferred to the new eCourt system, the release said.
