Riverside Superior Court will hold separate groundbreaking ceremonies on Jan. 14 in Indio and Menifee to celebrate the start of construction on two new courthouse projects, according to a news release from Riverside Superior Court.

COVID-19 protocols will be in place at both ceremonies. Masks will be mandatory, and 6-foot social distancing will be required where possible.

Both ceremonies are open to the public, but the court asks people planning to attend to contact courtexecutiveoffice@riverside.courts.ca.gov

The groundbreaking for the new Indio Juvenile and Family Courthouse will be at 9 a.m. at 47-671 Oasis St.
