  • Angela Corona v. State of California (5:24-cv-00883): Civil Rights Act. California Central District Judge Dean Pregerson presides.
    • Nine former inmates, some of whom were incarcerated at the California Institute for Women near Chino, sue for damages resulting from their forced sterilization through the prison system. Three women who were incarcerated at CIW say their ovaries were removed without consent in 2001, 2006 and 2012, when they went into surgery for fibroid removal. Another says she was sterilized without her consent when her doctor gave her injections intended to manage her menstruation cycle.
  • Gary Blackwell v. City of Beaumont (5:24-cv-00852): Civil Rights Act. California Central District Judge Kenly Kato presides.
    • Blackwell sues the city after Beaumont police fatally shot his son, Garrett Blackwell, on Jan. 14 during a chase preempted by a noise complaint.
  • Darwin Boggs v. Mi Casita Taqueria, Inc. (5:24-cv-00860): Americans With Disabilities Act. California Central District Judge Jesus Bernal presides.
    • Boggs claims a restaurant on 150 W. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, violated the ADA by not having their disability-accessible parking spot designated according to ADA standards.
  • Darwin Boggs v. Nam Thanh Phan (5:24-cv-00881): Americans With Disabilities Act. California Central District Judge Kenly Kato presides.
    • Boggs sues Little Dragon Chinese Cantonese Restaurant, at 178 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, on claims that their disability-accessible parking spot is not designated up to ADA standards.
  • Dominic Vargas v. Public Storage (5:24-cv-00879): Americans With Disabilities Act. California Central District Judge Jesus Bernal presides.
    • Vargas sues Public Storage at 1600 Fairway Ave, Colton, on claims that the entrance is blocked by a three-inch-high step with no ramp and that the company did not have an accessible transaction counter.
  • Fred J. Repucci v. U.S. Bank, National Association (5:24-cv-00880): Americans With Disabilities Act. California Central District Judge Sunshine Sykes presides.
    • Repucci sues U.S. Bank on claims that the bank improperly locked his account. His complaint says that he suffered a stroke 15 years ago that occasionally prevents him from speaking. Bank personnel have requested an interview between him and the manager of the branch at 9103 Mission Blvd., Riverside, but have denied his requests to bring his wife or another representative, his complaint claims.
  • Careco, LLC v. Miguel Solorio (5:24-cv-00836): Transferred from county court. California Central District Judge James Selna presides.
  • Juan Gomez Gomez v. Nissan North America, Inc. (5:24-cv-00837): Transferred from county court – product liability. California Central District Judge Mark Scarsi presides.
  • John Sjodin v. City of Hope (5:24-cv-00847): diversity-tort/non-motor vehicle. California Central District Judge Sunshine Sykes presides.
  • Britta Albers v. 3M Co. (5:24-cv-00856): federal question: personal injury. California Central District Judge Kenly Kato presides.
  • Stacey Lee v. Financial Recovery Services (5:24-cv-00861): Fair Credit Reporting Act. California Central District Judge Sunshine Sykes presides.
