    • Oppenheimer, a Coachella building inspector hired by the city November 2019, claims he was retaliated against for donating to the campaign of Coachella Mayor Steven Hernandez’s political opponent, Denise Delgado. He claims that he was iced out of a position due to his political decision. He brings 11 claims: retaliation for exercise of rights, political activities retaliation, disability discrimination, failure to engage in the interactive process, failure to reasonably accommodate, retaliation for request of reasonable accommodation, retaliation for opposition to discrimination, failure to prevent discrimination, harassment, failure to pay overtime wages, and violation of right to privacy

    • Diversified Distributors, a Redlands company, sues the Santa Maria-based Valley Girl Sales and Marketing over allegations Valley Girl failed to pay $110,822 for 25 shipments of peppers, tomatillos and other fresh vegetables.

    • Jennings claims she was hospitalized and her ribs were broken due to a beating by Riverside Sheriff’s deputies while under their custody. She brings a complaint for excessive force, monetary relief, failure to train, negligence and violation of the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act 
  • Palo Verde Healthcare District v. Altera Digital Health Inc. (5:24-cv-00666): Transferred from San Bernardino Superior Court – breach of contract. California Central District Judge Fernando Aenlle-Rocha presides.
    • Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe is suing the provider of their health records system, Altera Digital Health. The complaint claims the Altera system is full of bugs, and that Altera threatened to cut off access to their records if Palo Verde didn’t pay an additional $1.3 million.
